Hard "Baked" Eggs

I saw this on Pinterest around Easter and had to make them myself! These are wonderful. And so much easier. It is not by any means faster since it takes half an hour but it is easier for me as a mom to just pop them in and go instead of dealing with the water and whether or not I'm doing what I'm supposed to do to make them perfect. Just stick them in the oven, go play a game with the kids and in half an hour BAM snack time for my little ones and me :)

The genius behind where I got this idea is The Burlap Bag. <that is the link to the hard boiled eggs post I found! They have a ton of great ideas. But back to this one! :)

I used Large eggs so make sure to adjust the time for smaller or larger eggs.

Ok. I put my eggs in a muffin pan (thank you Burlap Bag;)) and preheated the oven to 330. Then I stuck them in there for half an hour and went about my business!!!

I went ahead and got my ice water ready. You will need to submerge the eggs in ice water for ten minutes after they are done cooking.

Halfway through cooking, working up a sweat ;)
These are the brown spot The Burlap Bag referred to... they will go away when you peel them!

Ta Da!!!!! Hard baked eggs with very little effort on your part! 30 minutes in the oven at 325-350, 10 minutes in ice water, peel and eat!

Our new project

Well technically my husband's new project but I like to think he will let me help :)

I need some hands on learning when it comes to cars anyway. He still hasn't decided one hundred percent if he is keeping it or finding a different project car but I like it. We'll see...

Impala! He loves it. I know it. If he decides to keep it I will definitely be keeping up on blogging the changes and improvements!

My husband wants this picture on the left framed and hung up in his garage! I have to say it is a darn good picture ;)
The trunk... this thing was so gross! There was even a toaster in the back seat of the car. Don't really know why. My husband cracked a joke to the owner asking if the toater would go with the purchase of the car... he told him sure he could have it... He didn't really catch the joke! Haha

This is the gas cap! Under the back license plate. How cool is that?!!?

Mother's Day Is Right Around The Corner!

And that means finding the perfect gift for mom! Well I have decided this year since I love slapping the kids handprints on everything that I would incorporate that into a gift for my mom and my husband's mom. We just didn't want to wait all year for Grandparent's Day

SHHH don't tell them ;) But how cute are these?!!? Seriously though keep the lips zipped. I just had to share. These are so precious and will be cherished I'm sure :)

$3 Yard Sale Tables

I found these tables FOREVER ago at a yard sale for $3 each. I got them for my kids to have as tables to craft on in their playroom. Well since we have carpeted rooms that is a no go so recently I decided to personalize them for the kids!!!

Super cute, right?! I love their little handprints so anything I can paste it onto I do! Bailey loves Dora (even though we definitely do no) so I added her. I was a little timid at first about adding a character because what about when she outgrows it? B ut I think she will love it forever because it was not only done by her awesome mom ;) but I have stuff from my childhood I would never buy now but because I have had it so long I treasure it!

I have updated them a bit since these photos. I painted the legs on Bailey's with zebra stripes and after much thought as to what to do on Matthew's I came up with the perfect solution! Superheroes!!! Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, The Flash, Batman, Superman and Green Lantern. While Bailey's stripes took all of about 15 minutes Matthew's ONE Batman leg took twice that! So his won't be done for a while but he will love it when he's older (I hope!)

Bailey's awesome zebra stripes and Matthew's Batman, Superman and Captain America.

All of Matthew's are still not done!!!

AH!

What did I get myself into?!

But it will be worth it!

Spring Has Sprung!!!!!

And I couldn't be more happy about it! I love being able to have my windows open and I love the smell of rain in the spring. The flowers, the trees, everything!!! So in honor of spring my kids crafted this wonderful picture to go on our wall!!! 2 1/2 year old Bailey and 1 year old Matthew

I love it so much! We love arts and craft time in our house!

Late Post (February)

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY TO MY SWEET BABY BOY!!! This post is way late. I have been dealing with other things and haven't had blogging time. But he turned one in February!!! We did a pink and orange party for his sister's first birthday so we did blue and orange for his :)

I am very pleased with the way it turned out! We don't know anyone with kids here since our move so it was a very small, very low budget get together but I think it turned out just wonderfully!!!
